Lee Harvey Oswald is a major icon in history as being known as the man who killed JFK. He was born in 1939 and was quickly recognized as a very smart man. In fact, when he went to Russia later in life, as a defector, he learned Russian and spoke it perfectly as an adult. There are many conspiracies surrounding Lee Harvey Oswald. Some have thought that he might have been working for the United States government when he went to Russia, as a spy. It’s believed that he knew too many ins and outs regarding the two governments. Some have thought that he was just a troubled anti-American young man and part of a conspiracy team to kill President Kennedy during the Cold War era.
Lee Harvey Oswald served in the United States Military for a number of years prior to leaving for Russia. He was supposedly under suspicion by the U.S. and by the Russian KGB. He met and married his wife Marina in Russia before returning to the United States. He returned to the United States at the request of the Russian government. No one really knows if he was just a patsy or if he was legitimately the lone gunman that many have grown to know him as.
He was murdered on live television by Jack Ruby in 1963. The secrets of what he was really involved in died with him. To this day no one knows for sure if he was the lone gunman, if he was part of a conspiracy or if he was a patsy for either the Russians or the Americans.
