Texas is a big state and offers much in the form of tourist attractions. A vacationer can enjoy horseback riding on the plains or a stroll along the beach on the Gulf of Mexico. From the north to the south and from the east to the west, Texas will give any tourist a great run for their money with interesting and exciting places to visit.

Texas offers a huge amount of wildlife to be viewed and beautiful scenery. It is a great place to vacation because of the variance in rainfall and climate. You can go from one part of the state to another and be in a totally different atmosphere. You can enjoy 624 miles of shoreline along the Gulf of Mexico or cruise north and south about 900 miles. Along with the great vistas and climate, you will enjoy the cost of traveling in Texas. They do seem to be very reasonable in terms of overall expenses. Along with that you’ll be hard-pressed to find friendlier people anywhere else.

The San Antonio River Walk is by far the most famous Texas attraction for tourists. If you find you are too hot and need a place to relax and dine, this is the place for you. This beautiful part of the San Antonio River was developed years ago as a main tourist attraction. It has many restaurants for you to choose from for your dining pleasure. The river is only three to four feet deep, which is good since there are no guard rails on the walk. This great attraction is a great place to stroll with a loved one or enjoy an early morning jog. Whatever you choose, you’ll love the flowers, cacti and spectacular scenery.
