Just imagine in your mind a peaceful place where you hear water rushing under old oak trees in the summertime. This is also a place where people speak to you in a friendly tone; “Howdy Y’All!" You don’t find places like that everywhere. But in Texas Hill Country, you will, with a tip of a hat and a kind smile. They have five million visitors a year, and that is why people keep coming back, because of the friendly country. Springtime you can find open fields and road sides dotted with beautiful wild flowers and of course the Texas state flower, the Blue Bonnet. In the fall they have red, orange and yellow flowers, as well as all colors of leaves.
West San Antonio is the Texas hill country region. It has a beautiful area know as the Picturesque Limestone hills, which is carved into green canyons by crystal waters know as the Sabinal, Leona, Frio and the Nueces Rivers. They also have many lovely butterflies, birds and the rare endangered species such as Golden-Cheeked Warber and Black-Capped Vireo in this natural adventure. You can find that this is one of the top natural adventures. You can go swimming, tubing, kayaking, fishing and also horseback riding.
When you get to Texas, the Lone Star State, you are in some of the most gorgeous Hill Country around. There are also plenty of lakes to enjoy. If you like to water ski, fish or even swim, then the Texas Hill Country is the place to be.
