Medieval Festivals in Texas


Medieval times of old with lords and ladies, food and jousting were great fun. How great would it be to be able to relive those days? You can, especially if you live in the state of Texas. There are festivals to be had throughout the year from early spring to December. Some festivals even have special days just for students and their sponsors. These festivals are also great events for family outings. Weddings can even be performed for a fee at some of the festival sites. You would need to prepare well in advance and reserve your special date.

At the festival you will find great shows such as jousting to puppets. There are side booths that are offering such things as soap or candle making. Then, of course, you will always find a smithy so that you can acquire your latest sword or armor. The food booths are great with period fare. Where else can you find great mead and a turkey leg to indulge yourself with?

The best way to find were to go is to do a search on your computer using such key words as "medieval festivals in Texas." There are numerous sites that will take you to the festivals. Make sure you make of list of where you want to go exactly and the time of the year that you would be able to go. To make your visit extra great, why not dress the part. You can also find costumes for sale or find someone to make a costume for you. Fun is to be had by young and old at Texas’ medieval festivals.
