Visiting San Antonio


With over 23 million visitors last year, San Antonio is Texas' most visited city. San Antonio airport has over 100 flights daily and you can fly to and from any major U.S. city. Some of the major carriers that fly to San Antonio are American, Delta, USAirways, and Continental.

Once you arrive, a short taxi ride brings you into downtown San Antonio. There are many hotels and motels, from budget to luxury, near the River Walk or downtown. You can stay at a bed and breakfast, a spa, or even rent a home for your stay. San Antonio has many different cultures in and around the city, so you have a great choice of restaurants. American, Asian, BBQ, Continental, Mexican, French and Greek are some of the top choices.

One of the main attractions is the famous River Walk. With such restaurants as The Blue Star Brewing Company. This restaurant has it’s own micro-brewery which serves such hand crafted beer as stouts, pale ales and the King William Ale. You can also ride a river cruiser up to the San Antonio Museum of Art and the Pearl Brewery.

Springtime is a great time to take in some of San Antonio’s theme parks. You can go to Six Flags Fiesta Texas or Sea World San Antonio. San Antonio has two water parks also, Splashtown and Schlitterbahm Water Park Resort. Of course, San Antonio’s biggest attraction is the Alamo. Tourists can take a narrated tour of the Alamo and just walk around at their leisure. San Antonio is also home to the four time NBA Champion Spurs. The Spurs game are played in the Alamo Dome from October until May.
